Gail has over 25 years of experience in agency and corporate public relations and in television broadcasting, implementing communications programs for destinations, transportation companies, hotels and resorts, and economic development entities worldwide. She oversees a group of 75 communications professionals servicing clients which have included Air France KLM, Allianz Global Assistance, Barbados Tourism Authority, Cruise Lines International Association, Ecuador Travel, EL AL Israel Airlines, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Grace Foods, Greater Fort Lauderdale, Hilton Worldwide, Hotels.com, Hyundai Hope on Wheels, I Love New York, Jamaica Tourist Board, Korean Air, Mandarin Oriental, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Turkish Ministry of Tourism and Culture, South African Airways, Turkish Airlines, Westin Hotels, among others. 


Gail held the position of chief of communications for the State of Ohio Department of Economic Development, managing radio, television and print communications for tourism, international trade, science and technology, and business development. Earlier, she spent 12 years in broadcasting as a producer and executive producer for NBC/WRC-TV, PBS (Public Broadcasting System) and Warner Amex Cable Communications.

 

Awards and honors include PRSA’s McEachern and Prism Award; International Association of Business Communicators (IABC)’s Gold Quill Award; National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS)’s Emmy Awards; HSMAI Adrian Awards; Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP) MarCom Creative Award; and Travel Weekly’s Magellan Awards. She was also the recipient of Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Business Award.

 

A fine arts graduate of Howard University, Gail holds an MA degree from American University in broadcasting production and management. An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), she has been a member of the Board of Directors of PRSA NY since 1995. She is a member of the Travel & Tourism Research Association; The Caribbean Tourism Organization; Women in Communications Inc.; and the Hotel Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI). She is also an allied member of the American Society of Travel Agents.

Gail currently sits on the boards of the New York Urban League, the American Foundation for The University of The West Indies and the Lagrant Foundation. She has served as a Board Member for Counterpart International and Opportunities Industrialization Centers of America.  She is an adjunct professor in the Marketing and Public Relations Department of New York University’s School of Continuing and Professional Studies.
