Felicia started working in Balule Nature Reserve in 2013 as a Black Mamba. As part of her training, she had to take the Emergency Care Specialist course. In May 2017 she completed Senior Command Course and was appointed as a Sergeant and Media Liaison Officer.
Currently Felicia’s duties include patrolling the boundary fences, snares sweeping in the bush, conducting rock blocks, raising awareness and educating the local communities that are adjacent to the Game Reserve about protecting and conserving natural resources and the wild animals. Felicia also hosts international groups and presents the Black Mambas project nationally and internationally raising awareness and engaging with media teams and presentatives.
